Welcome!

I'm delighted to join the Dorset Online Brocante for the first time - thank you to both Sally & Lucy for all the work they've been doing!

I’ve curated a small, special selection for the Brocante: characterful ceramics, classic transferware, and a handful of Swiss mid-century vases from my personal collection. Thank you for browsing — I hope you find “the one”.

And when you do, across the site: please use "DorsetBrocante20" for 20% off the items in your shopping cart. The discount code will be valid until Sunday night.

Thank you, and enjoy!

Swiss Mid-Century Ceramics

Mid-century Swiss ceramics are all about proportion and glaze. Expect sculptural shapes, earthy browns, icy blues, and the occasional playful motif.

I’ve pulled favourites from my own collection - pieces that feel modern today, yet carry the calm precision and rustic vibe of Swiss design.

"Bülach Glas" - Swiss Vintage glass from the 1940s

Utility, upgraded: "Bülach Glas" has that honest, functional beauty we love - storage jars that were produced in Switzerland in the 1940s, as a response to war-time needs! Still in use today, they're perfect for kitchens, studios, and stems from the garden.

And, just because it will be Christmas soon: have you seen those amazing glass Christmas tree stands?! Fully functional, they're quintessential to many Swiss Christmases!

French Country Chic

Keep it simple, keep it beautiful. Terre de Fer brings soft ivory tones, transferware adds narrative borders and vignettes, while flow blue gives that inky, romantic wash. Mix eras and makers; hang a trio on the wall or stack them on a dresser. Calm, characterful, endlessly mixable.

Majolica

Tactile and theatrical, yet easy to live with. These Majolica pieces bring garden motifs indoors—leaves, blooms, and berries with luminous glaze.

For the Dorset Brocante, I've added for more lovely items ... plus two Mid-Century vases that I think match beautifully!
