Collection: Ziegler Schaffhausen

Founded in 1828 in the Rhine-bank town of Schaffhausen and active until 1973, Ziegler Schaffhausen shaped everyday Swiss ceramics for almost a century and a half.

From sturdy stoneware for the kitchen to richly glazed decorative ware, the factory’s output mirrors changing tastes. Designers and modellers, including Heinz Spörri, helped define the house style with thoughtful forms and tactile surfaces.

Expect honest shapes, practical handles and lids, and beautiful glazes in earthy browns, moss greens, and inky blues. Many examples are now preserved at the Museum zu Allerheiligen in Schaffhausen.
