It is so nice to meet you, hi! My name is Fides, I'm a antiques and vintage dealer, living in Switzerland.

My love for antique and vintage tableware has been with me since childhood. It all began with a beautiful antique Wedgwood ironstone dinner set from the 1850s, passed down from my father, which we reserved for special family occasions. I remember marvelling at its intricate patterns, the weight of history it carried, and the way it transformed our table. Those early experiences kindled a deep passion for vintage pieces that combine beauty, craftsmanship, and heritage—objects that have endured time and still hold their charm today.

Over the years, I have turned this passion into a profession, dedicating myself to collecting unique items that tell a story. My collection includes pieces from the mid-19th century to the Mid-Century Modern era, encompassing a range of styles, from the rustic elegance of English ironstone to the colourful charm of French terre de fer, and the whimsical beauty of Majolica. Each piece I offer has been meticulously sourced and chosen not just for its aesthetic value, but for the craftsmanship and history behind it.

Living in Switzerland, I have the unique opportunity to travel extensively across Europe searching for these treasures. I often find myself at brocantes in France, wandering through the vibrant markets of Lorraine, Alsace, and Paris, or venturing further afield to England’s renowned antique fairs, where English ironstone is at its finest. Germany and Italy are also part of my regular hunting grounds, allowing me to source a wide variety of European antiques. Every trip is a new adventure, a chance to unearth rare and extraordinary pieces that carry a sense of history and nostalgia.

I take pride in the research that goes into each item. My extensive library of books on pottery and porcelain marks is a crucial resource, ensuring that every piece is properly identified and its story preserved. Whether it’s a delicate 19th-century tea set or a vibrant Mid-Century Modern bowl, I meticulously inspect, clean, and restore each item to ensure it is ready to take its place in a new home. My customers can trust that every piece has been selected with care, both for its quality and for the story it holds.

The customers who find their way to my shop share my love for beauty, history, and craftsmanship. They are people who appreciate the artistry of a hand-painted majolica platter or the delicate details of a transferware plate. They know the joy of finding that perfect piece that not only enhances their home but also connects them to the past. I believe that these antiques are more than just objects—they are pieces of history that have travelled through time, survived generations, and now have the opportunity to bring joy and elegance to modern homes.
